Every time I read you, I want to write something. One of the greatest compliments my brain can think of without using adjectives.

Writing as riyaaz is such a wonderful way of looking at it. Really enjoyed this piece...a good reminder that the little steps add up over time.

I wrote a 1400 word short story at one stretch today, and felt quite proud of myself. But now I realise that I ought to look at my sentences. Thanks for the reminder. :)

I need to take a closer look at my sentences rather than have them tumble out. Thanks for the advice 👍

Beautiful post, Amit. Loved this line - ‘riyaaz is the somewhere you want to reach.’

loved reading this Amit. Many years ago when I discovered Naval, one of the things I resonated with was that when he said that he wants to focus on micro changes in life and not the macro. I liked that way of thinking. It took the pressure off of wanting to do something that would change the world. The Anne Dillard quote which is my instagram bio now reminded me of that moment.

Loved this piece. A few years ago, I read a version of the title of this piece, which goes like "How you do anything is how you do everything.." and that is a mantra that has stayed with me for so many years now...

Please consider Seen and the Unseen episodes to YouTube. Many people (including me) listen to podcasts on YouTube. Thanks for sharing. Wonderful writing as always.

Beautfully expressed Amit. The pebble in the avalanche is a great analogy, but comes with a downside of being obsessed with doing something all the time.

“Riyaaz is the somewhere you want to reach” - that is such a novel way to look at riyaaz which oozes of archaism.

Thanks for sharing Amit.

I loved both the quotes & the one that keeps coming back to me from John Lennon "Life is what happens to you as you are busy crossing the road".

My brain kept autocorrecting Diehl’s to Delhi's. It took me few leisurely scrolls to realize it.

Let me get back to my other small things for I just finished one now : )
